You can’t help but stop in Bran if you make it to Transylvania. Let’s be honest, we from the US at least always think of Dracula when we imagine Transylvania and the center of all that happens to be Bran, Romania. The famous “Dracula Castle” in Bran is a must stop for any vampire aficionados. Whether Vlad actually stayed here is up for debate, but there is no debate that Bran Castle is most famous because of the Dracula legend. All the local businesses have figured out that the best way to make money is to join in on the tourism draw. Happy Halloween too!

Hi, I’m from Romania and I’ve been wandering a little through your blog, finding it really interesting.
I hope you enjoyed travelling in Romania.
What other places have you visited?
Thanks for visiting my little blog here, and thanks so much for commenting too. I enjoyed Romania for sure, parts of it more than others. Unfortunately I was not in Romania as long as I would liked, we ended up there late in our trip so we didn’t have much time. We went to Bucharest, Sinaia, and Bran. I still need to move over some of the older Romania post from my old location (and add actual photos).
