Kosovo was definitely one of my favorite places on the trip. From very friendly people, to its interesting yet tragic history, it really drew me in. Prishtina especially was the makings of a great capital, or at least hopefully one day in the future. We probably were the only two tourists in town, or at least the only ones that we saw. One of the most famous spots in Prishtina is the Newborn monument built in the city center in front of a shopping mall. It was officially unveiled on the day it declared independence, February 17, 2008. Not that long ago. I really hope to get back here some day in a few years and see how much the place has changed.
