Friday Photo: Wanderings at the Monastery

I was asked a bit ago if I could try to put together a little presentation on traveling to Jordan or perhaps at least my little trip to Jordan.  I’d have to find about 150 photographs they mentioned perhaps to verify I could possibly make it work.  Hmm I though I suppose it would be difficult but that I could perhaps cull it down to that many.  I realize though there are still a lot of photos, places, ideas I wanted to show from my time in Jordan.  It was harder than I had imagined to keep up with posting while I was there, but now I’ve been trying to verify even the half posts I have floating around eventually get posted or edited.  This is the lovely Monastery up in Petra, one of the famous spots that should not be missed if you find yourself in this part of the world.  Wandering up the hill listening to the Bedouin rocking “Gangnam style” made me realize that the world is small and only getting smaller.  But gladly still the fact that such an amazing site was quite under touristed while we were there, made me glad that I could still get caught up in the wonder.

I highly recommend going! If you can its best to go off season since it can get very crowded. Haha, yes you realize how everyone is watching youtube these days!

Thanks, I feel very privileged to visit these amazing places. I definitely know it is something I am thankful to have had the opportunity to experience in my life. Your trip to NZ seems pretty amazing though as well!
